Small loft conversion

This is what the loft was like on the monday morning when i started
After clearing away the old tank and stuff got the floor laid and some framing started

The completed loft after 5 days work ready to be plastered

Double garage door replacement

These are the old damaged doors that were to get replaced
Wood being marked out and cut in the workshop

Replacing damaged window putty

Window with damaged leaking putty
Step 1 chip out old putty and any flaking paint

Step 2 apply a bead of putty around the frame against the glass then with
a putty knife run it around the edge against the glass at an angle then
smooth of with your finger .
job done.

Casement window repair

Side frame was badly rotten in 2 places so the timber was removed

This is the start of a solid oak floor i have been fitting approx 50 sq metres

Oak computer desk

This desk was designed to suit the customer as they had trouble getting their legs below a normal height desk and couldnt get one to fit in the space they had available

Garage door conversion

The existing up and over garage door was removed and the opening framed out to allow for a normal door to be fitted and the rest clad with pine.

The original timbers were all rotten at the front of the garage but the rest were ok so i made new doors and re-clad the other parts .

Badly rotted joists and flooring

Rotten timbers
Floor after all the rotten joists had been removed.

New joists being laid over a damp proof membraine


The completed floor with 18mm chipboard covered with 6mm ply and sealed




Flat roof converted to pitched roof

New timbers being fitted to form new pitched roof
New roof completed with 18mm ply covered with 1 layer of underfelt then 1 layer of torch on green mineral felt
