Kitchen 12hour revamp update

Completed kitchen with tiled splash back and walls painted.

Rotten floor

This is what i found after lifting a floor board as the floor was bouncy.
The floor had to go plus the joist ends next.

New joists resting on a new wall plate with a new damp proof barrier.

New joists bolted alongside existing joists that have had any rott removed and sprayed with preservative.

New floor completed .

Under stair storage

Shelving for shoes
This was a lost space until i cut a hole under the stair and found a large space suitable for storage
so i framed it up and fitted a 4 panel grained door and shelved it out.

Window alcove replacement

Existing window alcoves after damage from a burst pipe.

Rebuilding the frames and sheeting out.

One completed with new 8 inch facings and existing shutters re-used.

The pair of windows completed ready for painting.
